I've always loved working with my hands. Alongside voice over, visual art is equally a deep passion of mine. My particular types of media to work with are sculpting, painting, stop motion animation, puppetry, and building environments. I do also love to learn different types of media and find ways to apply them to my strengths. Here you can find selected pieces of my work.
This project has been in development for about a year. The majority of the diorama is hand crafted and painted by me, using various crafting supplies such as foam, wood, canvas, and glass. However, It is important to note that this project uses various 3D printed furniture models that were designed by the artist, Darkest Desire.
The diorama walls of the building are held together with magnets, making it possible to take a peek into the inside of the building.
Here is the first sketch of the puppet. I like to write down and solidify a plan before I buy material and start building.
I originally was going to hide the power source for the LED in the torso, but the power box was too big to fit in the puppet. So I included the book prop to not only hide the box, but to add more to the design of the puppet.
The armature is made of wire, wood, miliput, solder, LEDs, 3D printed resin, and foam. The fur is made out of felt, and the eye is a hollowed out 3D printed sphere.
This project was challenging, yet rewarding and educational. I had never worked with LEDs in puppetry, and it was exciting to work with a new technique.
The armature is made out of wire, brass square tubing, solder, wood, and miliput. The head is made from a casting mold of hollow resin.
